An amazing and much underrated place located in Sharjah. A perfect artistic depiction of futuristic architecture. Loved the alien spaceship concept. The interiors, the mini indoor garden, cafe, big screens, deep captivating music in the background all adds to the beauty of the place even more. A must visit for all the art lovers out there! Have a great day!
Great ambience. Peaceful library space.
The basement space for study was unbelievable. Quite spacious and zen. Loved it. The ambience just got to me.
Amazing place for reading and studying but it would be better if the coffee was opened
Nice place to visit and enjoy. There is a library too.
This is very underrated place but it’s soo beautiful and peaceful 🖤
Isn’t really functioning as an art foundation, meaning there is no art to see there. Good place for studying for reading, however it’s too small. There is cafe which is a bonus
Really cool, out of the way location with some nice, unique exhibits. Very open space, super quiet and chill, with some great books on art and design. Nice option to study in if you have a car.
The building is sophisticated, it has a serene ambiance. This place is good for reading, writing and studying. They have a cafe shop that offers breakfast, light meals, desserts, hot & cold beverages. There are no smoking areas and the access point is hard to find.
Nice place to work and do ur tasks
Exceptional place! Amazing infrastructure that will soon allow to have great exhibitions. The history behind the building is amazing. Sharjah must and will be very proud of what Sharjah Art Foundation did with this masterpiece!

The flying saucer is a heritage place.. It was built since 1975.. It was used for several purposes, as I mentioned.. A French shop, a cooperative society..etc. It is a place with a beautiful space. Currently, there is a small library frequented by few visitors.. It lacks a coffee shop. We hope to make use of this wonderful place with creative ideas that attract adults and children..and advertising for these places that you hardly hear about except when you pass by chance next to them..Thank you
The Flying Saucer building was opened in 1978 as a station in Sharjah with a coffee shop, restaurant, newspaper stand, gift shop and pharmacy. Although not in existence for long, the building later became a grocery and then a fast food restaurant. This building constitutes an architectural landmark; The futuristic circular structure extends with the dome and features a complete glass façade with sloping V-shaped columns, creating a panoramic interior design. The building evokes many memories of the generations that grew up in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The place holds many memories for us in Sharjah. It was in the past a supermarket, then turned into a cooperative society, then a restaurant, and now it is an art exhibition for the Sharjah Art Foundation, where the headquarters now contains an exhibition that receives artworks, as well as a quiet coffee shop
Restoration work has been completed on the Flying Saucer Building, one of Sharjahs most important architectural landmarks. This iconic building, built in the 1970s, welcomes visitors after a two-year renovation process. The building is located at the intersection of many residential areas near the city center, and forms part of the aesthetic and emotional fabric of the residents of Sharjah, with a design inspired by the influences of brutal engineering and the space age that dominated that period. The restoration takes back the character of the original building, with the addition of a new outdoor public space, and a community space on the ground floor that includes a café, library, and activity facilities. The building is currently displaying an exhibition by Lindsay Sears and Keith Sargent entitled Nowhere Less Than 3, which deals with themes of British colonialism and the artists journey through history in search of truth. It runs until December 26, 2020.The Flying Saucer building will host a series of educational workshops suitable for families and children, as well as old films. The workshops highlight photography, photo editing and calligraphy, and are designed to suit children between the ages of 6 and 15 and parents. The workshops are free and open to all.The Flying Saucer is more than an exhibition hall, but rather a center for gathering, creativity and learning, with the aim of reviving the rich social and cultural history of this iconic building and returning it to the daily life of Sharjah residents.
Very nice place for art loversمحبي
The place is suitable for study or work, coffee and breakfast in the cafe are good but I never recommend sweets, the parking is small
Memories
The Sharjah government is now restoring and adding service facilities to this beautiful landmark in Sharjah Smile, and the Sharjah Art Foundation takes over this beautiful work, which, if completed, will be a masterpiece added to the beloved achievements of Sharjah
